Description
Aglie's typical sweets are the Torcettini (drop-shaped biscuits made of butter, sugar and flour). Every year, they attract many tourists in search of Piedmont´s traditional treats. Apart from torcettini, during the Torcetto Festival it is possible to taste every kind of typical dessert, such as miassa (a crunchy sheet of pasta made of water and corn flour, paired with jam and chocolate as well as cheese, produced in Val Chiusella), canestrelli (wafer like biscuits, that are thin and crumbly, produced in Montanaro), home-made chocolate, local bee-keepers´ honey and many other wonders.
The event takes place under the town's archways.
